Cate Blanchett’s Modern Master Tribute

Awards season in in full swing, and one of the busiest ladies in Hollywood is none other than Academy Award nominee Cate Blanchett.

The Babel actress, who is currently pregnant with her third child, received the Modern Master Tribute last night during the Santa Barbara Film Festival held at the Arlington Theater.

As previously reported by Gossip Girls, Blanchett has also been nominated for two Oscars for playing Elizabeth I in Elizabeth: The Golden Age, and in the supporting category for her gender-bending portrayal of music legend Bob Dylan in I’m Not There.

The dual nomination puts her in an elite group, as it’s only the 11th time in the Academy’s history that an actor or actress has been nominated in the leading and supporting categories in the same year. No one has won both, so far.
