Keeping things casual, Britney Spears was spotted out roaming around Hollywood last night with companion/manager Sam Lufti.
The Gimme More singer, who sported a pair of blue velour track pants with an artistic print tank top, recently made headlines for her refusal to agree to a plea deal offered by the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office in relation to hit-and-run charges dating back to last August.
As previously reported by Gossip Girls, Britney bumped into a parked car in a private parking lot in the San Fernando Valley on August 6th. And while she had a Louisiana license, the Toxic songtress was driving without a valid California license.
The hit-and-run charge has since been taken care of after Spears offered a personal apology and $1,000 in compensation to the vehicle’s owner, Kim Robard-Rifkin.
Still facing a charge of driving without a valid California permit, Spears’ lawyer Michael Flanagan told press, “The offer she turned down was to plead guilty to the license misdemeanor, meaning no probation, contingent on her paying the maximum fine of $3000.”
The report goes on to tell: “(Britney) has since instructed Flanagan to refuse the deal when he appears in court on Friday as they (the authorities) are attempting to treat her differently than they would any other person who did not have a valid license at the time.”
