Leaving sunny Los Angeles for snowy Park City, fellow socialites Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian continued enjoying the offerings of this year’s Sundance Film Festival.
The reality stars both bundled up and braved the cold weather on Sunday, making numerous promotional stops throughout a hectic day that included watching 50 Cent perform during MySpace Nights.
"Sundance has evolved from a very small and very exclusive festival for these really tiny independent filmmakers—making small movies with small names—to a powerhouse festival,” Craigin Brown, PR manager for New York-based Strategic Group, told press of the surge in mainstream celebrities taking to Utah for the once offbeat festival.
And companies are looking to cash in, with an industry insider telling: “If Paris Hilton wears a certain skull scarf on her head, then for the next two weeks, that’s going to be the trend ... It may mean your brand has created a new trend in fashion and that’s something that will build the equity of that brand.”
